Innovative sheet metal forming in the automotive industry

The VDI symposium "Innovative sheet metal forming in the automotive industry," to be held in Nürtingen, Germany, March 7 - 8, 2018, will bring technical experts together. Key topics are new concepts in press and system technology, in die development and in the manufacture of press parts. End-to-end automation of the shop in the context of Industry 4.0 will also be discussed, as well as the implementation of robots in sheet-metal die manufacturing for the automotive industry.

Automation is taking on an increasing role in industrial sheet metal forming. Digitization of the shop enables the optimization of many value creation processes while simultaneously improving the quality of parts.

On the occasion of the VDI symposium, Tebis has prepared the white paper "Evolution in sheet metal forming -- end-to-and automation in the context of Industry 4.0".
