Efficiency in die manufacturing

Tebis at ICAFT

12/07/2015

Participants in the 5th international conference "Accuracy in Forming Technology" ICAFT at the Fraunhofer Institute for Machine Tools and Forming Technology (IWU) in Chemnitz, Germany, on November 10 and 11, 2015 were challenged by high-profile presenters from academia and business including Stephan Galozy Product Manager at Tebis AG.

The event, with roughly 220 participating experts from 14 countries, was held in conjunction with the 22nd Saxon Conference on Forming Technology SFU 2015. The main topic was "Efficiency in draw die manufacturing through a comprehensive evaluation of the process chain". The lecturers used best-practice examples and current research projects to show how much the digitalization of production has already advanced and which potentials can be opened up by new technologies and concepts.

Stephan Galozy focused on draw die manufacturing. He used concrete examples to illustrate how efficiency in draw die manufacturing can be significantly improved by a comprehensive evaluation of the process chain.

The presentation by Stephan Galozy, "Process Solutions for Automatic Manufacturing and Elimination of Remachining in Tool and Mold Manufacturing", can be downloaded below. The conference proceedings and all presentations from the joint conference can be ordered from Verlag Wissenschaftliche Scripten in their Online Shop.
