Mapping NX structures in the layer tree

When we import NX files, the system stores the assemblies hierarchically in the filter structure. However, the components are all stored as a list on individual layers. Does the system provide an option for displaying the filter structure in the layer structure as well?

Yes. You can individually configure the interfaces in the configuration. You have the option of mapping the NX file structure not only on filters but also on layers.

Here's how you do it

1.

Call up the configuration menu using the DATA/CNF function.

2.

Select the "CAD interfaces/NX/GET" entry.

3.

In the "Structure" area, select the "Filters and layers" option from the "Mapping" selection list.

4.

Now use the DATA/FILE/GET/NX function to import the required NX file. The structures are completely copied into the layer tree.
