Determining stock allowance for holders during turning operations

The automatic area reduction during turning operations brings my holder very close to the material. I don’t feel comfortable with that. What can I do in this case?

You have the option of defining a stock allowance for the holder that will be taken into account during the area calculation.

Here's how you do it

1.

Click the “Parameter” button in the Job Manager. The PARAMETER dialog opens.

2.

Enter the desired stock allowance for the “Stock allow.” parameter.

3.

During the calculation, the value defined here will be adhered to as the minimum distance to the material.

Hints

For more information about adapting machine and technology parameters, open the context-sensitive help in the PARAMETER dialog.
