Celebrating and networking for a good cause

Tebis organized and sponsored the traditional VDWF grill party

This year's VDWF grill party focused on relaxation, informal networking and a donation program. Roughly 130 VDWF members, relatives and guests celebrated until late in the evening in the informal atmosphere in Göppingen, Germany.

Socializing is a very important activity for Tebis AG and Karl Walter Formen- und Kokillenbau. The partners therefore sponsored and organized the traditional grill party with the German Association of Tool and Mold Manufacturers (VDWF) on Saturday, July 8, 2017, with a varied entertainment program on the site of Karl Walter Formen- und Kokillenbau. With good spirits and sunny weather, many guests went on a tour of the Hohenstaufen Castle ruins or of the Märklin Museum already at lunchtime.

Informative company tour

Managing director Jens Buchert greeted the visitors at the start of the grill party. Former managing director Emil Werbitzky provided an overview of the company history, and Jens Lüdtke from Tebis AG explain the cooperation between the two companies. Many guests took the opportunity to participate in three company tours They were especially impressed by the way the company is poising itself for the future as a digital model manufacturer with the support of Tebis Consulting. They also had the opportunity to see how aluminum wheel rims are made and how gravity die-casting molds work.

Encouragingly high donations

Lively conversations quickly ensued as visitors grilled together, with dancing encouraged by the music and atmosphere. Especially encouraging: The visitors proved to be generous in this year's donation program. Professor Thomas Seul, president of the VDWF, collected a total of €1,350 in a giant pink piggy bank. This donation was made to the Göppingen Hospice, which cares for people in the final stages of their lives in the home environment or in the hospital. All in all, it was a successful grill party and an unforgettable day - as was shown by the many happy faces and emphasized by the extensive positive feedback.
