    End-to-end milling and turning on a mill-turn machining center

    This engine case, including the fixture, was designed and programmed in Tebis and then manufactured entirely on a mill-turn machine from DMG Mori. Different strategies were used depending on the specific manufacturing task. 

    • Manufacturing-ready design: The part and fixture were designed parametrically in Tebis
    • Time savings: For example, through optimized connection paths and very fast calculation of toolpaths in the CAM environment
    • Maximum safety: Realistic machining simulation in Tebis, including all machine movements and head collision control, allows use in extremely tight machining situations
    • Very high surface quality: Thanks to features including double clamping for smooth machine movements and targeted machining of flanks and residual stock areas with barrel cutters
    • A wide variety of turning strategies: Adaptive turning, eccentric turning, 5-axis and 6-axis interpolation turning
    • Milling strategies for every challenge: 4- and 5-axis simultaneous spiral machining, simultaneous pocket milling, efficient machining of undercuts, and much more
