    From data control model to test gauge

    Whether you manufacture show cars, data control models, casting models, function cubings or complete prototype vehicles: Model makers manufacture components for a wide range of applications. This is achieved quickly and at the highest quality using Tebis CAD/CAM technology.
     

     

    Data control models

    Tebis NC programs are usually supplied to large milling machines for assessing the CAD data in the real world. Measurements are made with Tebis CAQ software on the models made in this way.

    Cubing models

    Mounted parts and gap dimensions are checked on function and test cubings – in both the interior and exterior. Designers and NC programmers find the complete scope of functions in Tebis.

    Vacuum models

    Prototype parts with high-quality surfaces are produced in a vacuum process using silicone molds. Perfect CAD surfaces are quickly made using Tebis surface technology.  

    Laminating models

    Model makers produce negative and positive molds for GRP and CFRP parts in small quantities. The completely integrated NC simulation technology in Tebis prevents collisions on the machine.

    Foundry models

    These are used for making the mold needed to cast metallic parts. The easy operation of the design and NC programming functions ensure high user acceptance.

    Polystyrene models

    These are used for casting blanks, for example. Users benefit from the convenient CAD and CAM functions that perfectly support both mesh and surface data.

     

    Clay models

    These are used in form development. Their form results from a mix of manual work and NC machining. Reverse engineering and surface modeling turn scanned models into perfect CAD models.

    Gauges

    Gauges and fixtures are needed for manufacturing and assembly in series production. Tebis ensures efficient manufacturing and assembly through a combination of CAD/CAM and viewing functions.

    User-friendly combination of CAD and CAM 

    From reverse engineering to 5-axis milling

    Tebis CAD/CAM workstations can be flexibly equipped. Designers and NC programmers use different modules. The workstations are implemented in office environments as well as in the production area. All the employees involved always work with the same database throughout the entire project. From transferring your customer's data until delivery of the models, your specialists work efficiently and securely with one and the same system.

    You can use Tebis CAD functions to transfer data from your customers, generate CAD surfaces with design functions and by reverse engineering and optimize them up to Class A quality. You can use design templates and prepare data for manufacturing so that NC programming can be performed automatically.
    You can use Tebis CAM functions to create reliable, template-based NC programs for your milling machines. Integrated simulation and verification prevent collisions and allow you to simultaneously clamp multiple components and process them overnight.

    Using reverse engineering to align the CAD world with the real world

    Reverse engineering is used everywhere that work is performed manually on real objects and in the CAD model. In model manufacturing, design objects and vehicles modeled in clay are scanned and transferred to CAD surfaces. In die manufacturing, manual changes to sheet-metal dies in the tryout phase are scanned and the existing CAD model is updated based on the scanned data.
