A company that wants to manufacture efficiently must have fast access to all the relevant data. Many files are generated over the course of every manufacturing project: CAD files, NC programs, NC documentation and tool information, as well as project-related files in PDF or Excel format. These days, nothing can function without these digital raw materials.
With ProLeiS product data management, you can manage your files centrally. Long searches for CAD data and other project documents are eliminated, as are the need to constantly check for up-to-date status information and the costly use of incorrect files in manufacturing.
Regulated access privileges facilitate your work and provide security against unauthorized access. ProLeiS uses a role concept to automatically provide the necessary data to everyone involved. This accelerates your processes and prevents errors.
ProLeiS supports you from the first bill of materials to the last accompanying document. Automated manufacturing data management enables you to organize the smooth interaction of all process stations involved in manufacturing.
Every participant stores their data on a central server, where it is structured by project and setup, using ProLeiS. Finding files is just as easy. You can access them either from ProLeiS or from the Tebis user interface with a preview option.
Controlled access privileges
Each user assumes a specific role in the overall project flow, performs different tasks, and therefore only requires certain data. You can define roles in ProLeiS and assign individual access privileges for each task area. This ensures process reliability and simplifies the work for users: Each user sees only those files that affect them. Assigned subtasks can be processed in the specified order.
Change and release management in ProLeiS lets you automatically control the use of data for greater process reliability. A file can only be edited by one user at a time, but it can be viewed by others. ProLeiS supports file revisions and saves the revision history. The current version is always available. You can track changes in older versions.
If changes are made to parts, you can immediately lock the affected files with a mouse click so they can no longer be used. Users release their tasks as completed via the release control integrated in ProLeiS. However, the next work step can't begin until all the necessary conditions have been met and the data is released. This reduces the risk of manufacturing based on outdated or incorrect data.
Thanks to the order wizard and the planning templates, we can plan an entire vehicle type with just a few clicks of the mouse: It couldn't be easier.
ProLeiS automatically generates all of an assembly's part objects as a structure tree from the import of a bill of materials. The respective attributes can be imported and are freely configurable. Planners can generate bill of materials information directly from CATIA V5 and NX designs.
Planners use the ProLeiS "Splitter" application to automatically split CAD products into individual Tebis CAD model files from tool assemblies in the original CAD format from Catia and NX during the interface run. They receive all necessary part data, and existing bills of materials are supplemented and linked to the CAD data. Time-consuming manual copying of the CAD geometry is eliminated.
Programming
ProLeiS automatically imports machining and NC program names from the Tebis Job Manager and creates a corresponding structure. Programmers work in the familiar Tebis CAD/CAM environment with the structure tree and Job Manager. They prepare the CAD data for NC programming and calculate the NC programs. Transfer to the machines is started at the click of a button.
Tebis workstations can therefore be used in coupled operation with other systems.
ProLeiS aligns the tool requirements for NC machining with the tool magazine of the target machine. You can order the setup of the defined tools or, if the tools are unavailable, measurement and calculation of sister tools. Then they can also be delivered on time to the machines. ProLeiS automatically generates maintenance orders once a tool's service life has expired.
