• Transferring defined machining tools to CAM programming 

Approach

• Analyzing existing tools and their management
• Defining future tools → Eliminating at least 90% of HSS tools
• Defining future machining strategies and cutting data
• Evaluating suitable manufacturers of tool management systems, including selection
• Defining future work methods in individual departments
• Preparing a tool master list to enable tool setup in the CAM system 

Results

• Approx. 30% reduction in existing machining tool inventory
• Machining tools are state-of-the-art
• Digital tool management has been implemented
• Prerequisites have been met for updating the tool library in the CAM system
