With the new release, CAD/CAM and MES data can be exchanged even more smoothly, even on the global application level
Stuttgart, May 6, 2025 – Tebis announces the availability of Release 9 of its Tebis 4.1 CAD/CAM software at the Moulding Expo (May 6 to 9 in Stuttgart). The focus of the new version is internationalization: Tebis's CAD/CAM software solution and the ProLeiS MES solution are now fully Unicode-capable and can be seamlessly integrated. The new version also boasts even greater user-friendliness and stability.
In a globalized world economy, companies and business units need to work more closely together across all cultural and international borders. MES systems play a key role in bridging the gap between production sites, suppliers and customers. Julian Odeh, Director of Tebis China since the start of the year, explains: "We see a high level of interest in manufacturing planning and control among many of our international customers, especially those focused on Asia. This stems from the desire to make the manufacturing process more transparent. The goal is to manufacture more efficiently and to shorten throughput time."
Data Bridge Market Research, a market research and consulting company, assumes that the market for MES systems will grow by an average of 12.05% annually over the forecasting period of 2022 to 2029. This would correspond to a market value of USD 39.67 billion for 2029. A very large share of these growth rates is anticipated to be in the Asia-Pacific region (source: https://www.databridgemarketresearch.com/de/reports/global-manufacturing-execution-system-mes-market).
With Tebis 4.1 Release 9, the Tebis CAD/CAM and ProLeiS MES software solutions are now fully Unicode-capable. This enables both systems to be used together on Japanese and Chinese operating systems, among others. Data can also be easily exchanged worldwide with no time-consuming adjustments
The new releases of the PDM Server with the Zoller interface and the FLD Server (Floating License Server) also support Unicode characters.
In the new Release 9, Tebis has comprehensively optimized the software base and quality management: These processes are now more stable, robust and efficient than ever.
The new Tebis release is also even more user-friendly.
The special highlight: Tebis Help can now be quickly accessed as WebHelp in an Internet browser. If there is no Internet connection available, the help can still be accessed via the Tebis Help Browser.
Many small extensions also greatly simplify your daily work with Tebis: They make it very easy to restore user-defined views and to quickly and easily copy geometries between different Tebis sessions using the clipboard.
Release 9 has a special application highlight among its technical features: Users can now use adaptive machining in turning without full-cut machining. Cavities can now be machined very cost-effectively with an adaptive path layout without full-cut machining. This ensures constant material contact, resulting in a shorter machine run time and longer tool life.
