Tebis 4.1 is a big step in advancing the automation of manufacturing processes. So, who better to talk to about it than someone who trains others to use it?
Julian Jung leads the technical department at Tebis America, and while he’s only been in this role since January 2021, he’s not new to Tebis. Prior to coming to the U.S., Julian worked in the implementation department at Tebis headquarters in Germany for seven years. Today he’s excited to be in the U.S. and helping with customer implementation of Tebis 4.1.
Julian Jung:
Tebis 4.1 provides a parametric core, allowing for highly automated data preparation and processing. When this is combined with the expanded CAM environment, you get significantly reduced programming times.
Julian Jung:
To efficiently show customers how to handle the extensive software extensions and improvements of Tebis 4.1, training for those with no prior knowledge has been designed to last five days. For those familiar with Tebis 4.0, update training may only take three days. To supplement this, we have the Tebis Community where a lot of videos and guides about 4.1 features are available. This is available to customers with a maintenance package.
Julian Jung:
To see the maximum benefits from the extensions, it’s important to take part in the training. But just getting the benefits isn’t enough, you have to know how to deal with them. The cost of training will pay for itself within a very short time – it’s worth the investment to optimize your use of the software.
Julian Jung:
4.1 is designed to be used for manufacturing processes with high quality and reliability demands. Our update training is primarily targeted to CAM programmers who work on Tebis 4.0. However, it’s also relevant for managers and department heads so they can see what the software offers and can do.
Julian Jung:
There are two things we focus on: ensuring the software can be easily used; and then of course, showing and training folks on how to handle the new functions. For example, the new NC job manager has been fully integrated into a new object tree, so we show you how to work with parametrics and create CAD templates. There’s also a new clamping device library we show you how to navigate and use.
Julian Jung:
Our support team can be contacted via email whenever technical questions arise. There’s a large team with very experienced employees who quickly respond to inquiries. And, as soon as it’s safe and allowed, we will hold our lunch and learn meetings again.
Julian Jung:
Tebis not only a software supplier, we support customers in setting up highly automated manufacturing processes to keep costs low. Our software is the most powerful tool on the market to achieve this. We have turnkey packages that can be implemented with little effort and will provide great success in a short amount of time – we’re happy to show you these packages during an individual software demo.
